New Danish Princess Named Athena
In Moegeltoender Sunday, the name of Denmark's newest Princess had her name revealed during her baptism.
Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie is the daughter of Prince Joachim and his second wife, Princess Marie. She is also the youngest grandchild of Queen Marguerite and Prince Consort Henrik.
The baby princess has three older brothers, Princes Nikolai and Felix from Joachim's first marriage, and Prince Henrik, who is three years old.

First Photos of Joachim & Marie’s Baby Princess
Nearly two months after she was born, Denmark's royal court has finally released photos of the youngest child of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.
The baby princess - who's name has not yet been revealed - was photographed by Steen Brogaard, who has often shot photos of the Danish royals.
For the photoshoot, Joachim and Marie were joined by their son, Prince Henrik age 2 1/2, as well as Joachim's two sons from his previous marriage, Princes Nikolai, age 12 and Felix, age 9.

Denmark’s Prince Nikolai Celebrates 12th Birthday
This past Sunday, the eldest grandchild of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark marked his 12th birthday. Prince Nikolai, the eldest son of Prince Joachim and the former Princess Alexandra, celebrated his big day with most of the Danish royal family. The ones who were missing were the Queen and her husband, Henrik the Prince Consort, and Crown Princess Mary, who was in Africa, and the royal twins.

Princess Marie of Denmark Pregnant With 2nd Child
Just as royal fans of the Danish royals are getting used to the adorable twins of the crown princely couple, they will have another reason to get all fuzzy next year.
It was announced Wednesday by the Danish Royal Court that Princess Marie, wife of Prince Joachim, is expecting her second child.
Her baby will be due in January 2012 and will be delivered at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

Royal Danish Summer Photo Session 2011
Monday was time for the annual photocall for the Danish royal family at Gråsten Slot Castle where they were spending their summer vacation. This year's session was more exciting since it allowed the world to see just how big Frederik and Mary's twins have gotten.

Joachim, Marie & Family in Greenland
Since Friday, Denmark's Prince Joachim, his wife Marie, and his two eldest sons, Princes Nikolai and Felix, have been touring Greenland. The Danish territory invited the couple there as part of their 2008 wedding present, and now Joachim and Marie are finally making use of it.
"It's a bit like our second honeymoon. Just even better because we have the boys," Princess Marie told the Danish press.

Happy 1st Birthday to Prince Henrik!
Time flies! It was a year ago today that Denmark's Princess Marie gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, whom she and husband Prince Joachim named after their son's grandfather, Prince Henrik, consort to Queen Margrethe II.

Denmark’s Prince Nikolai Turns 10
The eldest son of Prince Joachim celebrated his 10th birthday this weekend. Born August 28th, 1999, Prince Nikolai is the eldest grandchild of Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik.
The Danish royal family distributed recent photos of the young Prince, which were taken by royal photographer Steen Brogaard. There will even be a 30 minute televised special of Nikolai, set to air in Denmark tomorrow on channel DR1.

That is the name of the newest member of the Danish royal family.
The baby's name was revealed by tradition during his baptism in Mogeltonder at exactly 6pm local time.
Proud mom Princess Marie was the one to tell all of Denmark and royal fans worldwide the name of her little son, whom up until this point was called the "Lille Prins."
Marie did so when she brought her baby son up to the baptismal font and told the minister who her son was.

Danish Royals Meet Their New Family Member
The royals of Denmark were all smiles as they went to Copenhagen's Rigshopitalet to see the latest member of the family.
Princess Marie, wife of Prince Joachim, gave birth to a son early Monday morning. The little prince is the fifth grandchild of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, and is seventh in line to the Danish throne.
Monday afternoon saw the newborn's half older brothers, Princes Nikolai and Felix, being taken to the hospital by the Prince Consort to see their new sibling.
