On Thursday, Denmark’s royal heir Crown Prince Frederik went to Brussels where the NATO headquarters are. He was there to meet with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, a former Danish premier.
Accompanied by Defense Minister Nick Haekkerup, Frederik was given a tour of the headquarters by Rasmussen.
His visit ended when he placed a wreath at the Monument in Memory of the Fallen outside of the NATO offices, which commemorates forces who died during NATO operations.
The next day, the Crown Prince went to Mons, Belgium where the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, or SHAPE, are held. He met with Admiral Stavridis, and was briefed on NATO’s special forces.
