Royal Houses in Europe

Even in these modern times, there are still families that are born into a royal house. The royal house is made up of relatives of kings and queens of that country. These relations can be as close as brothers, sisters and children or they can be as distant as aunts, uncles and cousins.

The line of succession is one of the determining factors of who is considered a part of the royal house and who is just a relation of the crown. Those that are of the royal house are still treated with reverence that many people in other countries don’t understand.

A European royal house is not unheard of in today’s society. The most popular European royal house is that of Queen Elizabeth and her descendants. This is a royal house that is fascinating for the world to watch because they are very active in life. Queen Elizabeth is active in many charities as are her children and her grandchildren.

It is a royal house that has been marked by unspeakable tragedy as well. The death of Princess Diana is one of the most documented events for this royal house. Although this royal family has withstood such tragedies, they have also had beautiful moments. The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, was one of the most watched weddings in recent history.

Another famous European royal house is the Principality of Monaco. This European royal house is what many young women built their dreams upon. Albert II is the reigning Prince of Monaco. He is the son of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly. Grace Kelly was an American actress that met and married Prince Rainier III, Prince of Monaco.

Many people were taken aback when she married her prince and left the life of a movie star to become a princess. It was a role she took seriously and wore well.

A European royal house is often a royal house that will always be watched and remarked upon. These families will always be a part of history, a living and modern dynasty.
