Spanish Royals Gather for Victoria de Marichalar’s First Communion
Less than a week after the first Holy Communions for the sons of Infanta Cristina, the Spanish royal family were together once again to mark the samek Catholic rite for Infanta Elena's daughter, Victoria Frederica de Marichalar.
All of the Spanish royals were in Madrid, except for the Crown Princely family. Felipe and Letizia are on an official visit to Colombia this week, and their two young daughters were not at the gathering.

Daniel Westling Undergoes Kidney Transplant
The fiance of Crown Princess Victoria had a kidney transplant Wednesday.
The Swedish newspaper Expressen says 35 year-old Daniel Westling has an innate, but non-hereditary disease that led to renal impairment and doctors have long observed that a transplant would be needed.
The newspaper says Westling acquired a kidney from his father, Olle.

Scandinavian Royal Heirs Arrive in Greenland
The heirs to the three Scandinavian kingdoms have arrived in the Danish territory of Greenland.
Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden are visiting Greenland to see the effects of climate change on the island for five days.
The trio made a similar trip to the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard in June 2008.
