The Duke of York and his daughter, Princess Eugenie, made a visit to Sichuan province, the hardest hit area in May’s earthquake in China. This is part of their tour of central Asia, which began last week.
Prince Andrew and Princess Eugenie met with aid workers and survivors of the tragedy. They even laid flowers and paused for a few minutes at one debris area.
Later, the Prince stopped by a temporary school set up for the surviving children of the earthquake.
The tour with her father is Eugenie’s first official royal trip. Already, father and daughter have visited Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Next will be Mongolia. Her father is paying for her accomodations and food. While Andrew met with business leaders and ministers, Eugenie didn’t, and instead went on an official sight seeing tour of the former Soviet states.
